Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is embarking on a significant diplomatic tour to Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, concluding on May 30.

According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the primary objective of these visits is to further strengthen bilateral relations with these friendly nations and to express gratitude for their support during recent Pakistan-India tensions.

During his visits, the Prime Minister will engage in detailed discussions with the leaders of these countries, focusing on bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional security, and global affairs. This diplomatic outreach is viewed as a crucial effort to foster confidence and enhance regional cooperation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to attend the International Conference on Glaciers in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on May 29 and 30. At this conference, he will articulate Pakistan’s stance on critical issues such as climate change, water conservation, and sustainable development.

Separately, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister. Their discussion encompassed bilateral relations, the regional situation, and the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan.
