Pakistan’s Tallest Man Naseer Soomro Passes Away at 55

Naseer Soomro, Pakistan’s tallest man, has passed away at 55 after battling lung disease and joint pain for several years. He took his last breath in his hometown of Shikarpur, where he will be laid to rest.

Standing 7 feet 9 inches tall, Soomro was among the tallest people in the world, gaining national and international recognition for his extraordinary height. He was an employee of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) but faced neglect, health struggles, and financial difficulties in his later years.

His family revealed that he had been hospitalized multiple times due to chronic lung disease but fought bravely against his deteriorating health.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over Soomro’s passing and extended condolences to his family, acknowledging his role in bringing global recognition to Pakistan.
