KARACHI: The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of the Crime Investigation Agency has arrested a police constable allegedly involved in snatching of luxury cars from posh area of Karachi city.
According to police, the accused has confessed to snatching more than two dozen vehicles from the posh areas of Karachi. The stolen vehicles are sold in Balochistan by other gang associates.
Police said vehicles, government weapons and drugs have been recovered from the accused. The accused Police Rana Kashif posted in Foreign Security Cell.
The vehicle recovered from the accused was snatched from Ferozabad last year with the force of weapons. The accused confessed to more than two dozen more incidents.
Police are conducting raids to arrest his accomplices and recover more stolen vehicles. Further investigations are underway.
