Faisalabad: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad Zone arrested Humira Kanwal, a member of international human smuggler gang during an operation against human traffickers.

According to the spokesman of the FIA, the accused Humira Kanwal was arrested from Faisalabad. The members of the international gang were running a gang from Azerbaijan.

The spokesman said that the accused was involved in collecting the money by sending the citizens to Europe, he received more than Rs 6.3 million from 3 complainants. The accused received the money in the name of sending three children of the victims to Lagzaburg and after receiving the money, the children of the victims were sent to Azerbaijan.

According to the FIA, the accused handed over the affected children to other agents in Azerbaijan.

During the raid, important evidence was recovered from the mobile phone of the accused Humira Kanwal, spokesman FIA said.

The accused, along with the agent Zohaib, is involved in smuggling of the victims’ Azerbaijan, Libya, Dubai.  The agent Zohaib is running a gang of human trafficking from Azerbaijan.

According to the spokesman, the accused Humira Kanwal has been arrested and investigations have been launched, while with the help of Interpol, the arrest of the accused Zohaib is being implemented.
