The Dumper and Oil Tankers Association has staged a sit-in on the National Highway in protest against the burning of vehicles by unidentified miscreants.

According to the association’s president, Liaquat Mehsud, the entry of dumpers into the city has been permitted by a court order. He emphasized that legal action should be taken against vehicles involved in accidents.

Earlier today, unidentified individuals set fire to three cargo vehicles and a water tanker in Karachi’s Landhi, Korangi, Al-Karam, and Surjani Town areas.

In response to these incidents, police have detained 10 suspects.

Meanwhile, another tragic incident occurred when a high-speed dumper ran over a motorcyclist on Hawkes Bay Road near Musharraf Colony, resulting in the rider’s death. The dumper driver fled the scene after the accident.

It is worth noting that in the last 42 days of this year, 102 people have lost their lives.

Additionally, unidentified miscreants torched two trucks and a trailer carrying cargo earlier in the morning.

Police reported that in both cases, a group of unknown individuals executed surprise early morning attacks, setting the vehicles and cargo ablaze before fleeing the scene.
