The Security Forces killed seven terrorists (khwarij) in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the night of 8-9 February 2025, security forces launched an operation in the general area of Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan District, following reports of terrorist activity.

ISPR stated that “During the operation, our troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resulting in the death of three terrorists, including Kharji Rehmat, while two others sustained injuries.”

In another operation, security forces targeted a location in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District. “In the ensuing fire exchange, four terrorists were neutralized by the security forces, and three more were injured,” the ISPR stated.

According to ISPR, a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered during the operation.

“Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” ISPR said.
