Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has described the proposal for the transfer of Gaza’s people as unjust and deeply concerning.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi called Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, during which the two ministers discussed the situation of Palestinians, particularly in Gaza.
During the telephone conversation, Dar emphasized that Palestine is the land of Palestinians, and the only lasting solution to the issue is the two-state solution as per the Security Council’s resolutions.
Dar also stated that Pakistan will continue to support an independent and sovereign Palestine, backing the creation of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Foreign Office spokesperson added that Ishaq Dar also supported the convening of an extraordinary meeting of OIC foreign ministers and agreed with the Iranian ministers to maintain ongoing communication on the matter in the coming days.
