ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced revised petroleum prices for the next fortnight, marking the third consecutive increase in petrol rates.
As per a notification from the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 1, bringing it to Rs. 257.13 per liter. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has surged by Rs. 7 per liter, now costing Rs. 267.95. The new rates will take effect from February 1.
During the previous fortnightly review, the government had raised petrol prices by Rs. 3.47 per liter to Rs. 256.13, while high-speed diesel saw a hike of Rs. 2.61 per liter, reaching Rs. 260.95.
This consistent increase in fuel prices has placed an additional burden on consumers, further impacting transportation and essential goods costs across the country.
