New Saudi airlines begins flight operations in Pakistan

Saudi Arabia’s new airline, Flyadeal, has officially launched its flight operations in Pakistan.

According to a Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) spokesperson, Flyadeal’s inaugural flight F3 166 landed in Karachi from Saudi Arabia at 8:04 a.m. The aircraft received a water cannon salute upon arrival at Jinnah International Airport.

It is noteworthy that in November 2024, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) granted Flyadeal approval to operate flights in Pakistan. The airline’s request was approved following a thorough review by the regulatory body.

Flyadeal will operate direct flights from Riyadh to Karachi, with additional routes covering Karachi, Riyadh, and Jeddah, offering passengers more travel options and greater convenience.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, Saudia, was ranked the most punctual international airline in July 2024, as per Cirium’s report. Saudia achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and a departure punctuality of 88.15%, demonstrating its operational efficiency.

Saudia’s impressive performance reflects its commitment to excellence, managing 16,503 flights across its vast network spanning four continents and over 100 destinations.

Looking ahead, Saudi Arabia plans to enhance its aviation sector by adding 103 new aircraft to its fleet. This expansion aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, aiming to boost seating capacity, expand its international reach, and strengthen global connectivity.

As a member of the SkyTeam alliance since 2012, Saudia has established itself as a key player in the global aviation industry. Apart from its regular services, the airline also provides charter flights during Ramadan and Hajj, facilitating travel across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.
