US Dollar Rate in Pakistan on Jan 30 up by 10 Paisa to Rs278.97

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 10 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Thursday, January 30, closing at Rs278.97 compared to the previous day’s Rs278.87.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the US dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs279.50 and Rs281.00, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Euro appreciated by 18 paisa, closing at Rs290.73, up from Rs290.55 recorded a day earlier, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese yen saw a marginal increase of 1 paisa, reaching Rs1.80, while the British Pound rose by 8 paisa, settling at Rs347.33 from the previous Rs347.25.

Additionally, the exchange rates of the Emirati Dirham and Saudi Riyal gained 3 paisa each, closing at Rs75.95 and Rs74.37, respectively.
