Karachi police blacklists 110 domestic helpers for thefts, robberies

Karachi police have blacklisted 110 domestic helpers due to their criminal records.

The list, which highlights the criminal backgrounds of these domestic workers, has been issued to warn Karachi residents. It includes the suspects’ photographs, mobile numbers, and addresses, detailing their involvement in various crimes.

According to the police, these domestic workers were operating in an organized manner to commit criminal activities.

Authorities disclosed that most of these individuals were hired without undergoing the required police verification.

The Karachi police have urged citizens to avoid hiring blacklisted domestic helpers and to ensure proper verification before employing domestic staff.

They emphasized that registering domestic workers with the local police station helps authorities quickly track down suspects if necessary.

In a related incident, on November 18 of last year, a domestic worker in Faisalabad’s Paharnang area abducted his employer’s eight-year-old daughter.

The suspect, Hidayatullah, from Kotli, allegedly lured the child, Zareesha, and fled on the employer’s motorcycle.

Maqsood Ahmed, the father of the abducted girl, reported that his daughter was playing outside when the worker took her.

Police have registered a case based on Maqsood’s complaint and have launched a search operation to find the child and apprehend the suspect.
