The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has announced a major expansion of its Fast Track passport service.
Initially launched in seven major cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta, the service was later extended to 21 cities. Now, an additional 26 cities have been included, raising the total number of locations offering Fast Track services to 47.
The newly added cities are Attock, Haripur, Chakwal, Batkhela, Sargodha, Swabi, Bhalwal, Nowshera, Hafizabad, Karak, Mianwali, Mansehra, Bhakar, Muzaffarabad, Kohat, Mirpur (AJK), DI Khan, Bagh, Swat, Rawalakot (Pooneh), Abbottabad, Kotli, Bannu, Sudhanoti, Hangu, and Bhimber.
This expansion aims to enhance public convenience by speeding up passport processing in these regions.
Zonal heads have been directed to ensure prompt and effective implementation of these measures. Additionally, the Director (Databases) has been tasked with updating the Passport Processing System (PPS) to reflect the inclusion of these cities in the Fast Track category.
The notification, issued by Assistant Director (Policy-I) Hafiz Abdul Nasir, has been shared with relevant authorities, including the Director General of Pakistan Post, to ensure broad awareness and smooth execution of the updated services.
