The government of Pakistan has announced a Rs3.47 per litre increase in petrol prices for the second half of January 2025, bringing the new price to Rs256.13 per litre.
High-speed diesel (HSD) prices have also been raised by Rs2.61, bringing the new rate to Rs260.95 per litre. The updated prices for all petroleum products take effect from midnight on January 16, 2025.
In the previous fortnightly review, petrol prices were increased by Rs0.56 per litre, raising the rate to Rs252.66.
According to the Finance Division, the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) determined the new prices based on international market trends and currency exchange rates.
