PMD predicts slight relief from Karachi’s cold wave

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a slight drop in Karachi’s cold weather from Thursday night, although the city will remain chilly and dry for the next 24 hours.

Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 8.5°C last night, with the PMD predicting it could range between 8-10°C in the coming day. Humidity levels were reported at 81%, with light winds blowing from the northeast.

Earlier, temperatures at Jinnah Terminal dipped to 6.2°C on Tuesday. The PMD noted that due to northeastern winds blowing at 5-15 km/h, the cold felt 2-4°C more intense than the actual reading.

Elsewhere in Sindh, Mithi recorded a minimum temperature of 0°C, and Mohenjo-Daro dropped to 1°C. Mithi is expected to experience even colder temperatures, possibly reaching -1°C on Thursday.
