In a tragic and shocking incident, two teenage girls tied up their father and set him on fire, Gujranwala police reported on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Ali Akbar, suffered severe burns and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Police have registered a case under Sections 302, 324, and 34 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The two girls, aged 16 and 12, have been arrested in connection with the crime.
Ali Akbar, who had three marriages and ten children, was residing in a rented house with his two wives and children. His first wife had passed away.
The First Information Report (FIR), filed by the victim’s sister, also names Akbar’s two wives as suspects. According to the complaint, one of the suspects is the daughter of Akbar’s third wife from her previous marriage, while the other is the daughter of his second wife.
The FIR alleges that Akbar’s second and third wives, along with their daughters and other unidentified individuals, sedated the victim and then set him on fire as part of a premeditated plan.
In their statements to the police, the daughters confessed to tying up their father while he slept and setting him ablaze using petrol extracted from a motorcycle.
Authorities are investigating the motive behind this harrowing incident.
