WhatsApp to introduce animation autoplay control in chats

WhatsApp is set to roll out a new feature enabling users to manage the autoplay settings for animated content such as emojis, stickers, and avatars directly from the app’s settings.

According to WABetaInfo, the upcoming feature will provide enhanced user control over chat animations.

This update will allow users to decide which animations should play automatically within chats and groups, aiming to create a more personalized and distraction-free communication experience.

Unlike the previous development, which played all animations by default, the new settings will let users customize animations individually for emojis, stickers, and GIFs.

Animated emojis will appear as static icons if autoplay is disabled, while animated stickers and GIFs will also remain stationary until manually activated.

This feature ensures users can minimize disruptions during chats and have greater control over when animations are displayed.

WhatsApp’s latest effort focuses on improving user experience and providing flexibility in customizing the platform to individual preferences.

The new animation autoplay control feature is expected to be released in the near future, offering a more streamlined and tailored chatting experience.
