After four days of waiting, Karachi residents have finally received good news: Water Corporation officials have completed the repair work on the 84-inch water supply line on University Road.
According to Water Corporation officials, the repair work on the pipeline has been completed, and the city’s water supply has been resumed. The process of charging the line by supplying water from Dhabeji is also underway.
Officials stated that the water supply system in the city will begin normally within the next 15 hours. The repair work on the third breach in the 84-inch water supply line on University Road began on Monday.
The officials further explained that on November 28, the main water line supplying the city was damaged during the development work on the Red Line BRT project. After 12 days of effort, repairs were completed on two breaches in the line.
From December 3 to December 14, two breaches in the 84-inch pipeline on University Road were repaired. On December 16, Water Corporation staff began work on the third breach, which was completed on December 19 at 8 PM.
