Islamabad: Pakistan has termed the US sanctions on the National Development Complex (NDC) and three commercial entities as regrettable and biased.
Reacting to the imposition of sanctions on the National Development Complex (NDC) and three commercial entities, the Foreign Office stated that Pakistan’s strategic capabilities are meant for defending sovereignty and safeguarding peace and stability in South Asia.
The spokesperson for the Foreign Office remarked that the recent sanctions are contrary to the objectives of peace and security and serve to exacerbate military imbalance. Such policies can have dangerous consequences not only for our region but also for global strategic stability.
The spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan’s strategic program reflects the sacred trust of 240 million citizens in their leadership. This trust is highly valued across all political spectrums and is non-negotiable.
Expressing regret over the sanctions on private commercial entities, the spokesperson noted that in the past, the inclusion of commercial entities was based merely on suspicion, without any substantial evidence to support the decision.
