According to the Defence Ministry, five soldiers lost their lives, and another was critically injured in a military helicopter crash in southwest Turkey on Monday.

The UH-1 helicopter reportedly crashed during a training flight in Isparta province. The injured soldier has been hospitalized for medical treatment.

Isparta Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen confirmed receiving reports of the crash in Keçiborlu district. He stated that all local fire and search-and-rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.

Başdeğirmen added that the teams were actively working and awaiting further updates, noting that the total number of personnel aboard the helicopter remains unknown at this stage.
