Harry Kane scores hat-trick as Bayern Munich beats

Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane scored a sensational hat-trick, including two stoppage-time goals, to help his side secure a 3-0 win over Augsburg on Friday.

This victory extended Bayern’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga to eight points and marked their sixth consecutive clean sheet across all competitions.

The Bavarians remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga with 29 points, having now gone five matches without conceding a goal. Their closest rivals, RB Leipzig, sit on 21 points and face Hoffenheim on Saturday.

Reflecting on the match, Kane, who has now scored 14 league goals this season, said, “We said at half-time we should just keep going and create chances. Thankfully, we got the penalty, and from there, the game opened up.”

The hat-trick was a testament to Kane’s remarkable form, bringing his total to 50 Bundesliga goals in just 43 appearances, making him the fastest player in league history to reach the milestone.

Bayern now faces a tough schedule, starting with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday, followed by a Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund, and a German Cup tie against Bayer Leverkusen on 3 December. Kane expressed confidence, saying, “We’re in a good moment, feeling good, and need to keep the momentum going.”

While Bayern dominated possession in the first half, Augsburg’s goalkeeper, Nediljko Labrovic, made several crucial saves. Kane finally broke the deadlock with a penalty in the 63rd minute, and after a second penalty and a red card for Augsburg’s Keven Schlotterbeck, Kane completed his hat-trick with a brilliant header from a Leon Goretzka cross.
