At least 18 people tragically lost their lives when a bus carrying wedding guests plunged into the Indus River in Gilgit-Baltistan on Tuesday.

According to a spokesperson for the GB government, “18 people drowned in the incident.” Police reported that the bus was part of a wedding convoy traveling to Chakwal district in Punjab when it fell off the Telchi bridge in Diamer district.
