US rapper Cardi B has filed papers to divorce her husband, three years after her marriage.
The singer announced her separation after infidelity rumors that Offset got involved in. Cardi B stated the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for reconciliation.”
She told a local news source, “We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way,” she said.
The couple had a two-year daughter named Kulture. Cardi B is asking for custody of her daughter as well as child support from Offset.

According to the Fulton County court in Georgia, the hearing will take place on November 4.
Earlier in 2017, Offset was found guilty for a controversial videotape with another woman.
During an interview the next year, she had revealed that she decided to stay in the marriage.
“I know I look good, I know I’m rich, I know I’m talented. I know I could get any man I want — any basketball player, football player,” she said. “But I want to work out my s— with my man, and I don’t get to explain why.”
“I’m not your property. This is my life … I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to decide on my decision,” she added. “It’s not right, what he f—ing did — but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.”
