Islamabad: President Founder Democrats Group Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Corporate Member Syed Nadeem Mansoor has said that DGTO will decide fate of President ICCI on 31 oct, Nasir Qureshi was not eligible to contest the election.
In the hearing before the Director General Trade Organization (DGTO) on October 31 I will keep the evidence after which I hope the decision will be in our favor.
He said that according to the Trade Organizations Act, there must be a gap of one year for any executive member to contest re-election which has been extended to two years according to the new law, while Nasir Qureshi was an executive member last year as well and contested re-election this year and became the president of the chamber.
He added, I had challenged his nomination papers before the DGTO where the decision came in our favor on September 9 and Nasir qureshi was barred from contesting the election, on which he went to the Islamabad High Court.
Court remanded back the case to DGTO on 12th September During this time, he has also been guilty of contempt of court by contesting elections, Now DGTO has scheduled the hearing of this case on October 31, where I will place all the facts and evidence before the honorable court.
