While the Dodge Durango may be nearing the end of its production, Stellantis is celebrating with a series of special-edition SUVs, the latest being the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey.
This standout model features distinctive brass wheels, a satin-finished hood, and a luxurious brown leather interior.
However, it doesn’t introduce any significantly new features that would set it apart from other Durango Hellcat variants.
This announcement is reminiscent of previous updates from Dodge. Following their plans to keep the Durango available through the 2024 calendar year, even after discontinuing the Charger and Challenger, Dodge unveiled the “AlcHEMI” special edition of the SRT 392 as part of the Charger’s “Last Call” series.
However, the Last Call series has seen additional editions, including the “Silver Bullet” Hellcat Durango and a 20th anniversary Durango R/T.
Most recently, the “Hellcat Hammerhead” was launched, named for its sharkskin-colored silver leather.
Importantly, none of these last four editions are intended to mark the end of Durango Hellcat production. Instead, they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Durango equipped with a Hemi engine, which debuted in 2004.
At that time, no one could have envisioned a Durango with the staggering 710 horsepower offered in these Hellcat models.
Despite the celebrations, Dodge has not indicated any plans to continue producing V-8 Durangos into 2025. If you’re interested in one of these powerful special editions, they are currently available for order at a starting price of $115,315.
