Shi Yuanqiang, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, stated that any attempts to disrupt cooperation between Pakistan and China through terrorist acts will be unsuccessful.

Mr. Shi made these comments during the Hong Ting Forum Dialogue on “Understanding China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and Chinese-Style Modernization Development Path,” organized by the Institute of Strategic Studies (ISS).

He emphasized that ongoing reforms and opening up are crucial for China’s development. He noted that Premier Li Qiang’s recent visit to Pakistan represents a significant step in strengthening the all-weather strategic partnership between the two countries.

The leadership of both nations is committed to supporting and promoting the Three Initiatives: the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, alongside advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and enhancing people-to-people relations.

Masood Khalid, a former ambassador to China, highlighted that China has made considerable contributions to the world, such as building the Great Wall, implementing meritocracy, and developing an extensive canal system. He pointed out that China’s economy has grown from $2.286 trillion in 2005 to $18 trillion today. Khalid further stated that the China-Pakistan relationship is of high priority, and any attempts to undermine it are destined to fail.
