ISLAMABAD: Sisters of PTI founder Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan and about 30 workers have been arrested by the police when they tried to reach D-Chawk, here on Friday.
The sisters of founder PTI were arrested from D Chowk and shifted transferred to Secretariat police station. Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan reached D-Chowk despite the ban.
Meanwhile, IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi told the media that about 30 workers have been arrested so far in Islamabad so for. He said that the police would deal with the protesters according to the constitution and law.
The Islamabad administration has switched off the lights from D-Chowk to adjoining road Jinnah Avenue where heavy contingent of police, elite force and frontier constabulary has deployed.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to discuss the political situation.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took aerial view of the different areas of Islamabad.
However, Interior secretary reviewed the whole law and order situation in the capital and expressed full satisfaction over the security arrangements. He also ordered the law enforces to tackle the miscreants sternly and not allow anyone to disturb the circumstances.
