ISLAMABAD – A decrease in global oil prices is anticipated to lead to lower petroleum product prices in Pakistan, effective October 1.
Sources suggest that petroleum products could see a price reduction of up to 3 rupees, with petrol potentially dropping by 1 rupee per liter and diesel by 3 rupees per liter.
The official announcement regarding these price changes is expected on September 30, with the Finance Minister set to disclose the details after consulting with the Prime Minister.
It is important to note that the federal government had already implemented a significant price reduction for petroleum products on September 15.
Currently, petrol is priced at 249.10 rupees per liter, high-speed diesel at 249.69 rupees per liter, light diesel at 141.93 rupees, and kerosene at 158.47 rupees per liter.
