The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has quickly become a top tourist destination, attracting travellers from both the West and the East with its diverse entertainment options.
To facilitate tourism, the UAE offers visit visas with varying stay durations for foreign nationals, including Pakistanis.
UAE Visit Visa Options
Foreign visitors can apply for a single-entry tourist visa, which is available for 30 or 60 days. To obtain a visa, the sponsor or host in the UAE must be an establishment in the tourism sector, and the applicant must pay the required fee and security deposit. A sponsor could be an individual, a company, or a hotel.
Visit Visa Requirements
To apply for a UAE visit visa, you will need:
- One personal photo.
- A copy of the passport.
- An identity card for certain nationalities (e.g., Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan).
- Medical insurance valid in the UAE.
- A travel ticket to continue the journey or to leave the UAE.
- Hotel reservation or accommodation details.
How to Apply for a Visit Visa
The application can be submitted online through the GDRFA website or a smart app:
- The sponsor logs into the smart services system using a UAE Pass or username.
- Searches for the required service.
- Fill out the application with the necessary information.
Alternatively, the sponsor can visit the relevant department in person to apply.

As of September 2024, the fee for a 30-day tourist visa is AED 200, plus a 5% value-added tax (VAT).
