Islamabad district administration issues NOC to PTI for Sept 8 rally

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad District Administration has issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for September 8 public gathering.

The district administration has imposed 41 conditions in the notification and it also formally issued tarffic plan.

Different routes for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have been issued. Separate traffic routes for commuters from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been released.

Separate traffic plans for the participants from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Murree have been announced

The notification urged that the protection of basic rights of the masses must be ensured during the public meeting.

It further said that the rally would start at 4pm and terminate at 7pm, adding that the permission is granted for only public gathering not for sit-in.

The notification clarified that the permission is for only September 8 and organisers are bound to ensure the return of all workers the same night.

It said that the organisers would be responsoble for internal security and no anti-state or religoion speeches would not be made during the rally.

Earlier, the PTI had cancelled a number of public gatherings in recent past as the federal and Punjab governments had imposed Section 144  and sometimes withdrawn the NOC for the public meetings.
