KARACHI: Karachi and other cities of Sindh may receive more Monsoon rains from September 3 to 4, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) predicted on Sunday.
The NDMA also issued alert to the departments concerned. Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Sanghar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Mithi, Dadu, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Khairpur are likely to experience heavy rains with thunderstorm.
As a result of heavy rains, there is a risk of flooding in cities, while low-lying areas are inundated. All concerned agencies should take necessary precautionary measures to reduce the possible impact of floods and rains, saoid the NDMA.
