PTI files plea in IHC for party founder’s medical check-up by personal physician

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has filed a petition in Islamabad High Court for granting medical check-up of PTI Founder Imran Khan by his personal physician.

PTI’s lawyer Intazar Hussain Panjutha submitted the application in the court, arguing in his petition that the treatment by his personal doctor is the right of PTI founder.

He further said that Imran had been under treatment of his person doctor since his youth.

The lawyer said that despite the repeated orders of the trial court, the jail administration did not allow the PTI founder’s treatment by his personal doctor, adding that it was also violation of the Article 9 of the constitution for not permitting the medical check-up of the prisoner.

The Jail administration not even ready to provide basic rights to founder PTI, the petition argued.

Dr. Asim Yusuf, Dr. Faisal Sultan, Dr. Samina Niazi should be allowed to go for medical check-up of founder PTI.

A 15-day schedule should be arranged for the medical check-up of founder PTI on behalf of personal physicians, the request further said.
