SC removes election tribunal case from schedule

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has delisted the Election Tribunal case from its schedule due to the unavailability of Justice Jamal Mandokhail.

A notification regarding this decision was issued earlier today. Originally, a five-member bench led by the Chief Justice of Pakistan was set to hear the case on August 19. However, Justice Mandokhail’s absence has led to the postponement of the hearing.

Earlier, PTI’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, had requested an adjournment, citing the absence of senior lawyer Hamid Khan, who is currently abroad until September 6. Hamid Khan had also formally requested that the hearing be delayed until his return.

With the case now delisted, the Supreme Court will reschedule the hearing once the bench is fully available and all legal representatives are present.
