Students in several regions, including Sindh and Balochistan, have received extended summer vacations in 2024 due to extreme weather conditions.

Last week, the governments of Sindh and Balochistan extended the holiday period for schools and other educational institutions until August 14, with classes resuming on August 15.

Following this, authorities in Islamabad also extended the summer vacations for schools and colleges until August 4, due to the intense hot and humid weather.

“Due to the intense hot and humid weather in the district ie Federal Capital, it has been decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools/colleges till August 4, 2024,” said a notification.

Lahore Schools Summer Vacations Extension

Schools are set to reopen on August 15 as per the existing schedule. Currently, there is no official statement regarding an extension of summer holidays for schools in Lahore.

The government may review the vacation schedule if weather conditions remain uncertain.
