Residents of Karachi’s District Central and District West will experience a gas supply suspension on Sunday. The purpose of this outage is to enhance gas pressure by incorporating a new 24-inch, 31-kilometer transmission pipeline into the current system. According to a spokesperson from the Sui Southern Gas Company, the gas supply will be interrupted from 5 AM on Sunday until 5 AM on Monday, July 29.

SSGC Gas Suspension Areas

Over the next 24 hours, gas supply will be suspended in several areas. Surjani Town, North Karachi sectors, and Manghopir Town will be affected.

Additionally, Qasba Town, Orangi Town, and all blocks of North Nazimabad will experience a gas cut-off. The suspension will also impact FB Area, including Gulberg blocks, Buffer Zone, SITE Industrial Area, Baldia Town, Ittehad Town, and Maripur. Furthermore, residents of Gulshan-e-Maymar, Ahsanabad, Jhando Goth, SITE Super Highway, and nearby areas will face gas interruptions.

Residents in these affected areas are advised to arrange alternative fuel sources to manage during the gas supply interruption. The Sui Southern Gas Company is undertaking this project to enhance the overall gas supply system and ensure better gas pressure for all consumers in the long run.
