After the Sindh government extended summer vacations in schools, students in Punjab are awaiting updates from authorities regarding a potential extension of their holidays.

Schools in Punjab were closed on May 25, following the provincial government’s announcement of a seven-day holiday due to predicted heatwaves before the start of the summer vacation 2024.

The summer vacations formally began on June 1, 2024, and are scheduled to continue until August 14. All schools are set to reopen on August 15 unless the Punjab government extends the holidays.

Update on Extension in Punjab Summer Vacation

Currently, there is no update on extending the summer holidays. The government may review the vacation schedule if there are uncertainties in the weather.

Sindh Summer Vacations 2024 Extended

A day earlier, the Sindh Education Department extended summer vacations for schools until August 14 due to hot and humid weather conditions.

Provincial authorities made this decision under the direction of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. A notification regarding the extension stated that the new academic year in Sindh will now begin on August 15.
