The UAE is overhauling its visa application process to simplify access for visitors. In a significant step, the country has shortened the time required to cancel work permits. This initiative, involving multiple government bodies, introduces a platform to streamline hiring and permit renewals for businesses and private companies.
The new platform, ‘Work Bundle,’ can now cancel a worker’s work permit in under a minute, previously taking three minutes, and without needing any documents. Launched in Dubai in March, the first phase of Work Bundle is now expanding to other regions. The upcoming second phase aims to encompass approximately 6 million companies and over 70 million workers.

Many Pakistanis and individuals from diverse countries are attracted to working in the UAE because of these updated residency procedures. The Work Bundle provides various services such as issuing new work permits, adjusting statuses, issuing visas and employment contracts, Emirates IDs, arranging accommodation, and facilitating medical examinations. This holistic approach aims to simplify the settlement process and support workers in thriving in the UAE.
