The Punjab government has launched a new initiative to provide free solar systems, alleviating financial burdens for residents.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that households consuming up to 200 units of electricity monthly will receive free solar panels.
Those using between 200 to 500 units can access interest-free loans for solar panel installations, while households consuming over 500 units will be eligible for 75% interest-free loans for the same purpose.
This initiative aims to decrease reliance on conventional energy sources as grid electricity prices soar due to high taxes.
