- Karachi experienced its warmest July night since 2021.
- The temperature reached 32°C, 4.1°C above normal for July.
- The Met Office predicts continued hot and humid weather.
The city just had its warmest July night since 2021 because of the ongoing dry and scorching weather, along with heatwaves.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) noted that while the temperature was 31°C in the past two Julys, it hit 32°C last night, which is 4.1°C higher than what’s typical.
Even though cooler sea breezes might lower the temperature, the Met Office expects it to stay hot and sticky, with highs between 35°C and 37°C in the next day. But generally, July should average around 27.9°C.
Weather expert Jawad Memon says that sea breezes will bring clouds and maybe “drizzle in the night and morning in different areas in the coming days.”
Sindh’s capital has been really hot lately, though it did cool down briefly after a little rain.
Doctors are telling people to eat and drink things made at home, not from outside, and to boil water before drinking it.
No rain is expected today, but Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz thinks the monsoon rains will start after July 8.
