The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Karachi either this evening or tonight.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz forecasts that suburban areas of Karachi could experience heavy rain on either June 22 or June 23. He noted that rain is expected in areas near the Super Highway later today.
Sardar Sarfaraz mentioned the likelihood of above-average rainfall in Sindh, including Karachi, for this month.
The PMD recorded the lowest temperature at 30.5°C and expects temperatures to reach a high of 36°C to 38°C in Karachi. The meteorology department reported humidity levels at 75%.
Earlier, following a rain forecast, parts of Karachi experienced light showers on Friday. Areas such as North Karachi, New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Garden, Lyari, Saddar, old city areas, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal received light rain, providing relief from the previous hot weather before the onset of the monsoon season.
