Minimum bank statement required for Sweden Schengen visa from Pakistan 2024

Pakistani citizens must obtain a short-term Schengen visa to enter Sweden for tourism purposes. Known for its coastal islands, inland lakes, vast boreal forests, and snowy mountains, Sweden is a top tourist destination.

The Swedish Embassy is processing Schengen visa applications for citizens of Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as legal residents of Pakistan. From June 19, citizens and residents of Pakistan wishing to apply for a Schengen visa to visit Sweden must send their applications to VFS Global offices in Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Cebu, Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore.

Applicants are required to submit bank statements showing transactions for the past six months with their visa application to prove they have sufficient funds to support their stay in Sweden. The minimum daily amount required for living expenses in Sweden is EUR 80. Therefore, applicants must have EUR 2,400 in their bank account if their stay in Sweden is for 30 days. As of June 17, 2024, one Euro equals 298.24 Pakistani Rupees, meaning applicants must have a minimum of Rs 715,776 in their bank accounts to cover their stay in the European country.
