Lahore, Punjab Weather Outlook: More Rains, Gusty Winds Expected!

Lahore and parts of Punjab are expected to experience additional rainfall and gusty winds on Friday evening, night, and Saturday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist air currents from the Arabian Sea are moving into central and southern areas of Pakistan. Meanwhile, a shallow westerly wave is affecting the upper and central regions of the country.

In light of these circumstances, the PMD forecasts isolated showers and gusty winds in several areas, including Murree, Galyat, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Layyah, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Taunsa, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur on Friday evening/night and Saturday.

Lahore is expected to have maximum temperatures ranging from 40–42 °C on Saturday and 41–43 °C on Sunday.

Parts of Punjab experienced wind and thunderstorm-induced rains in the past 24 hours.

Chakwal was the warmest location in the province, with a maximum temperature of 43 °C. The relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 77 percent.

In Lahore, the maximum temperature reached 38 °C, with the relative humidity in the evening recorded at 64 percent.
