The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi will experience hot and humid weather during the three days of Eid ul Adha. The PMD’s Early Warning Center reports that temperatures in Karachi will range from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels between 50 to 60%.
Residents of Karachi can expect some relief from westerly sea breezes in the morning and afternoon, but overall, the weather will remain warm. People are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours to prevent heat-related illnesses.
While Karachi deals with high temperatures, the rest of Sindh will also face intense heat. The Tharparkar district may experience isolated to widespread thunderstorms, which could provide some relief from the heat.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz noted that Karachi’s weather would remain partly cloudy and windy for the next ten days. However, he warned that a heatwave could affect upper and central Sindh starting next week, posing health risks for residents.
As Eid ul Adha approaches, the weather will be a significant consideration for those planning outdoor activities. Staying updated on the latest weather forecasts and taking necessary precautions will ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration in Karachi, whether spending time with family or attending community prayers.
