MIANWALI: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Member of National Assembly Amjad Ali Khan was released from Mianwali Jail.

Amjad Ali Khan was granted bail in 2 cases on May 9, after which he was released from jail and reached home.

Amjad Ali Khan was re-arrested under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance on Thursday, but on the order of the Lahore High Court, the Commissioner withdrew the orders of the 3 MPOs, after which he was released from Mianwali Jail.

Additionally, 36 PTI workers have also been released from Mianwali Jail.

Earlier, A local court discharged anchorperson Imran Riaz in a case of damaging state property and interfering in state affairs.

Earlier, the police produced the anchorperson before a judicial magistrate in Cantt court and sought his physical remand.

The investigation officer stated that the accused was arrested for being nominated in a case of damaging state property and interfering in state affairs. He pleaded with the court to grant a 10-day physical remand of the accused to identify other suspects and facilitate their arrest.
