How to Apply for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the federal government initiated the registration for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). This initiative provides conditional cash transfers to assist financially struggling families in supporting their children’s education. Families with children enrolled in primary to higher secondary schools may be eligible for this aid.

To qualify for the Taleemi Wazaif program, families must be registered with BISP and belong to economically disadvantaged groups. The program’s objective is to reduce school dropout rates and ensure continuous education for children. The eligibility criteria are based on age and enrollment. For primary school, children aged 4 to 12 years are eligible; for secondary school, youth aged 13 to 18 years; and for higher secondary school, students aged 19 to 22 years. Additionally, children must be enrolled in a Pakistani school and maintain good academic performance and attendance.

The application process for the BISP Scholarship 2024 is straightforward. Families should visit the nearest BISP office, collect the registration form for educational scholarships, fill it out with the child’s B-form number and the parent’s CNIC number, and submit the completed form. Successful registration will be confirmed via a message.

Required documents for registration include the original CNIC number, original B-form number issued by NADRA, complete home address, and the school principal’s signature. To check the status of the Ehsaas Education Scholarships online, applicants can visit the official BISP website, enter their CNIC and the child’s B-form number, and follow the instructions to view their application status.

Financial assistance is provided quarterly, with varying amounts based on the child’s educational level and gender. At the primary level, boys receive PKR 1,500 and girls receive PKR 2,000. At the secondary level, boys receive PKR 2,500 and girls receive PKR 3,000. For higher secondary levels, boys receive PKR 3,500 and girls receive PKR 4,000.
