More rain and gusty winds are anticipated in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday, and Friday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave is currently affecting the upper and central regions of Pakistan.
As a result, rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, upper and central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Wednesday evening/night and over the next two days. Gusty and dust-raising winds are likely in the plains during the evening and night.
In Islamabad, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 36-38°C on Thursday and 35-37°C on Friday.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperatures are forecasted to be between 35-37°C on both Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred in the twin cities and at isolated locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, the Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, while hot and dry weather prevailed in other parts of the country.

Sibi was the hottest location in the country with a recorded maximum temperature of 47°C. In Gujranwala, the maximum temperature reached 46°C. Jacobabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Bahawalnagar, Bhakkar, and Dadu each recorded a maximum temperature of 45°C, while Dera Ismail Khan, Noorpur Thal, Kasur, and Khairpur each reached 44°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was 37°C, with evening relative humidity at 68 percent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was 36°C, with evening relative humidity at 64 percent.
