In a big development for Quetta’s public transportation system, the Commissioner of Quetta Division, Hamza Shafaqat, announced that an additional 100 green buses had been approved for the city’s Green Bus service.
Currently, just 8 green buses ferry over 11,000 passengers daily, highlighting the service’s success and the need for expansion. The first phase will see 25 new buses hit the streets within six weeks, serving various routes across Quetta.
This boost aims to reduce reliance on crowded rickshaws and motorcycles, easing traffic flow and offering a more comfortable ride. Commissioner Shafaqat expects smoother traffic and a higher-quality travel experience for residents.
The Green Bus Service is a game-changer for Quetta, and this expansion shows the city’s dedication to improving public transport. With 100 new buses on the way, Quetta is getting ready for a more sustainable and convenient commute. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development.
