The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to reveal the team for the 2024 T20 World Cup later today.
The team, consisting of 15 members, will be captained by the renowned batsman, Babar Azam.
The cut-off date for the announcement of the squad is May 25, and any alterations post this date would necessitate the approval of the ICC’s Event Technical Committee.
A few days ago, fast bowler Hasan Ali was discharged from Pakistan’s T20I squad. The team management of Pakistan has decided to allow Hasan to fulfill his obligations in county cricket for Warwickshire.
Originally, Hasan was chosen as a backup for Haris Rauf in case of injury — who is now completely recovered and is ready to participate in the four-match T20I series against England.
In his most recent T20I match for Pakistan against Ireland on May 14, Hasan recorded figures of 0/42.
The right-arm bowler has claimed 60 wickets in 50 T20I innings for Pakistan, maintaining an economy rate of 8.45.
