LAHORE: Former provincial minister and senior PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid has been transferred from jail to the hospital.
According to jail sources, Dr. Rashid was moved to Services Hospital for treatment due to high blood pressure and a gastro complaint.
She lost consciousness, reportedly due to severe heat, and is now receiving treatment at Services Hospital. In response to her condition, the Inspector General of Jails has ordered the installation of air coolers in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Meanwhile, the medical report about the health of Dr Yasmeen Rashid declared her condition as worrying. It said that her blood pressure was 160/110.
Dr Yasmeen is said that she has been having diet properly since the last day.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, PTI Information Secretary Rauf Hassan was injured in a blade attack on Tuesday. The assailants, identified as unknown transgenders, attacked Hassan outside a private TV channel and managed to escape.
Media reports state that Hassan had also been attacked by unidentified transgenders the previous night after leaving a media house post-interview. An eyewitness mentioned that the attackers fled after assaulting the PTI leader. Following this incident, PTI members protested and boycotted the ongoing senate session.
Hassan sustained facial injuries from the attack before the perpetrators fled the scene.
