ISLAMABAD: Intensity of heat is likely to further increase across the country from May 21.
Heat wave may intensify in Punjab and Sindh from May 21 to 27. The mercury is expected to go up from 4 t0 6 degree Celsius in Punjab and Sindh from May 21 to 23.

The temperature is likely further increase up to 6 to 8 degree Celsius from May 23 to 27. However, rains with thunder and lightning under the influence of western winds are expected to start across the country.

Sukkur, Larkana, Kandhkot Kashmore, Jacobabad and Dadu are likely to receive showers from May 17 to 18.

Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit and upper areas may receive rainfall with lightning and thunder from May 16 to 19.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department has directed the concerned institutions to take precautionary measures.
