In a significant development, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has revolutionized the process of obtaining identity cards by extending its services to post offices. This move aims to enhance convenience for citizens in accessing essential services.
This groundbreaking initiative has been implemented in 83 carefully selected general post offices (GPOs) and post offices across the country. These designated locations will now offer services related to the reissuance, renewal, and modification of lost or damaged identity cards.
To accommodate citizens’ schedules, service hours have been set to ensure accessibility. Operating from Monday to Saturday, services will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, on Fridays, the timing will be adjusted from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., aligning with local customs and traditions.

It is worth noting that the pricing for these services remains consistent with rates at NADRA centers, ensuring no additional financial burden for citizens. However, it’s important to mention that the NICOP creation service will not be offered at these post offices.
For detailed information and to find the nearest service point, citizens are encouraged to visit the official NADRA website. This initiative signifies a significant stride in making essential services more accessible to the people of Pakistan.
